tn.gov.in Online Procedure to Apply Domicile Certificate in Tamil Nadu
A Residence/Domicile Certificate is a main and essential proof to state that the person who hold the Certificate is a Resident of the District or state by which the Certificate is being issued. This Certificate is always required as proof of residence to avail Residence Quotas in educational institutions and also in the Government Service. It is issued to all categories applicants in every state.
To apply for domicile certificate only those applicants are eligible whose parents/ guardian are the permanent resident or living for more than 6 years in Tamil Nadu. Those women who not originally belongs to Tamil Nadu, but married to men who is permanent resident of Tamil Nadu are eligible to apply for Domicile Certificate in state.
If you wish to obtain the Resident Certificate in Tamil Nadu the you need to produce some important documents which are suppose to submit for getting the resident certificate. All the Important documents has to be submitted along with the Resident Certificate Application form in Tamil Nadu.
These documents will proof that the applicant is a permanent resident of a particular place for at least 5 years. For this an applicant will show his/her Ration card, voter id card, tax receipt, and details of the property which is owned by the applicant’s parents or guardian.
After the successful submission of application form along with the important documents, the applicant will get the Domicile/ Resident Certificate within 30 days of issuing date by the applicant. Application Procedure :
To obtain the domicile certificate you are required to follow application process in a prescribed manner. First you are required to Collect the application form either online or from the local authorities, such as the Sub-Divisional Magistrate or Tehsildar’s office or Revenue Department or District Collector’s Office, or any other authority as specified in Tamil Nadu state. After that you need to fill the form completely and submit with required documents list along with it. Then you will be required to produce the residence proof of Tamil Nadu State for a specified period of time.
After successful submission of the application and required documents you will receive your Domicile Certificate within 30 days from the date of issuing.
